parte de los expertos cl\u00ednicos, impactando en el tratamiento y el asesoramiento gen\u00e9tico del paciente y sus familiares.<\/p>\n<p>Por ello, disponer de informaci\u00f3n actualizada de bases de datos gen\u00e9ticas internacionales y propias, as\u00ed como de bibliogratia m\u00e9dico-cientifica, es vital para poder llegar a una conclusi\u00f3n certera y fiable en cuanto a la posible patogenicidad de cada variante gen\u00e9tica. Una clasificaci\u00f3n incorrecta puede orientar err\u00f3neamente el diagn\u00f3stico del paciente e incluso tener consecuencias graves en la estratificaci\u00f3n del riesgo entre los familiares.<\/p>\n<p>En Reference Laboratory clasificamos las variantes en base a las recomendaciones del American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG). Se trata de un tipo de evaluaci\u00f3n cualitativa con 28 criterios de clasificaci\u00f3n, a los que se les asigna mayor o menor evidencia de patogenicidad o benignidad (Muy s\u00f3lida\/ S\u00f3lida\/Moderada\/Apoyo). Para aportar cierto grado de flexibilidad, existe la posibilidad de incrementar o disminuir el peso de una evidencia siguiendo el criterio y experiencia del propio profesional.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan
